Key Messages for the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation April 2014 High Level Meeting
The Key Messages – Promote Inclusive Development and Democratic Ownership in Development Cooperation at the 2014 Mexico High Level Meeting were developed by Task Team members in February 2014. These Messages address the main commitments in relation to civil society, aid and development effectiveness made at the Busan High Level Forum in 2011 and previously at the Accra High Level Forum in 2008, under the broad rubric of Inclusive Development. The Key Messages are also available in French and Spanish.
In addition to the aforementioned full key messages, the Secretariat of the Task Team also produced An Extract of the Key Messages for the 2014 High Level Meeting in Mexico.
Review of Evidence of Progress on Civil Society-related Commitments of the Busan High Level Forum (2014)
The Review of Evidence of Progress on Civil Society-related Commitments of the Busan High Level Forum was produced in 2013/14.The purpose of this document is to provide an overview of evidence of progress on commitments made at the Accra and Busan High Level Forums in key areas of interest to the Task Team. It is offered as a qualitative contribution to the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation’s (GPEDC) monitoring exercise, and to inform discussion on progress since Busan at the 2014 High Level Meeting taking place in Mexico. This Review provides background to the Task Team’s Key Messages targeting the 2014 High Level Meeting.
Discussion Paper on Progress Since Busan on Inclusive Development
Progress since Busan on Inclusive Development – Discussion Paper for Session 1 was produced by Jacqueline Wood (Senior Policy Advisor of the Task Team’s Secretariat) on the request of the HLM core team on Progress since Busan/Inclusive Development. This paper is one of a number of discussion papers that is meant to inform the HLM Plenary One on Progress since Busan/Inclusive Development.
Addressing the full agenda of the HLM
In late 2013, the Core Groups on Domestic Resource Mobilisation, the Private Sector, and South-South Cooperation, Triangular Cooperation and Knowledge Sharing were preparing for the 2014 High Level Meeting thematic sessions. The Task Team submitted reflections on ways in which the theme of Inclusive Development and Partnerships could be integrated into these respective sessions.These reflections are contained in three one-pagers that will be distributed at the 2014 Mexico High Level Meeting:
