Summary – Global Partnership Initiative 12 Stock-take of Indicator Two
The Global Partnership Initiative 12 Stock-take of Indicator Two Monitoring consolidates the findings of a Stock-take conducted by the Task Team in 2016. The intent of the Stock-take – which was conducted in 11 countries – was to provide commentary on the challenges and opportunities of the GPEDC’s second round monitoring, specifically with regard to the monitoring of Indicator Two “civil society operates in an environment which maximises its engagement in and contribution to development”. The stock-take was largely based on the perceptions of country-level stakeholders on the ideal and actual Indicator Two monitoring process and questionnaire content. A summary of the Stock-take report report is also available. More information.
The Stock-take report was referenced in the GPEDC’s 2016 Progress Report in the chapter on Inclusive Partnerships.
The Task Team wrote a blog for the GPEDC website “Partnering to achieve the SDGs: Lessons learned from monitoring civil society’s engagement in development”. The blog shares lessons learned from the Stock-take which could also be informative for SDG follow-up and review.
